Who we are

Exeter Silicone Services is a service line of Hembury Contracting, run by Sam Hembury from Exeter and working across Devon. The site you are reading is exetersiliconeservices.co.uk.

What we collect

If you fill in the enquiry form we collect your name, phone number, email address, the address or town you gave, and whatever you wrote in the message box. If you attach photographs of the joint, we collect those too. There is no account to create and nothing else is asked for.

Photographs you attach are resized in your own browser before they are sent, which as a side effect strips the metadata a phone camera writes into a picture, including the GPS coordinates of the room you took it in. What reaches us is the picture and nothing else. They travel with the enquiry email and are kept with it.

The form records the moment the page loaded so that automated submissions can be filtered out, and your IP address is used in the same way, to limit how many messages one connection can send in a short period. Neither is stored alongside your enquiry.

The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person rather than a script is submitting it. Cloudflare receives what it needs for that check and Cloudflare's own privacy terms apply to it. It sets no advertising cookie and does not track you across sites.

What we do with it

Your details are used to price the work, book the visit and invoice afterwards. They are not sold, rented, passed to marketing companies or added to a mailing list.

Enquiries are delivered by email through Resend, an email delivery provider, and land in the Hembury Contracting inbox. They are kept there while the job is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, because a question about a job you had done last year is easier to answer if the original enquiry is still on file.

Photographs of your bathroom

Before and after photographs are taken as a matter of course so there is a record of the condition each joint was in. That matters most on letting work, where the set may be what settles a checkout question months later.

Those photographs are not published, posted on social media or used in any advertising without asking you first, and a property is never identified by address. If a photograph is ever used on this site with permission, the caption says where and when.

Work in rented property

Where an agent or a landlord books work in an occupied property, the tenant's name and contact number are used only to arrange access and are not kept afterwards. Photographs of the work and a note of anything found go to whoever instructed the job.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies at all. Google Analytics measures page views and where visits came from, and it is configured to store nothing on your device: no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no tracking pixel. That is why there is no cookie banner on this site. It cannot follow you to another one and it does not know whether you have been here before.

Your rights

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email info@hemburycontracting.co.uk and it will be dealt with. If you are not happy with the answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
